Living Outside My Little Box

I wrote this one a while ago.. I sat on it.. so here it is! One thing I like to tell people is that if you ask me a question, I will answer it. But, you do have to ask the right question.. LOL. I have been posing a question to myself and I had to take a good look at myself and my emotions. I said to God, can it be about me for a little bit? Well, I received an answer. It wasn’t the answer I was expecting, but it was an answer none the less. The answer was No. But, but my mother just died (my father died years ago) and now I am an adult orphan… “No” No, are you kidding me right now? As my son would say. No, He wasn’t kidding me. Even though I may be experiencing what I feel to be a difficult time in my life, doesn’t mean that it should revolve around me. Yes, I would love that to happen, but what would be the result? Probably me living a box and not grasping the reality of the situation. Or me not helping other people who may go through a similar situation. Case in point Ch

I AM the GREATEST!

I am the GREATEST! I attended a fabulous Black History month musical at my son’s school. The music was great and the dancing as well. But there was one moment that really reached me. The music teacher paused for a moment and he said he wanted us to listen to this person. He said, I want you to figure out who it is. I listened, and this person was sharing that he was “Cassius Clay and he is the best, the greatest…” and   I said, this  must be Mohammad Ali (before he changed his name).    He (Cassius Clay)  went on and on and ON about how great he was and that no one was going to beat him. The teacher stopped it as Cassius Clay went on and on about himself. The music teacher shared that Muhammad Ali had confidence and that the children could do anything that they wanted to do with a little confidence. He had the confidence of greatness before he KNEW that he was.  Do you have the confidence to proclaim who YOU are before you realize it? I believe that even as adult

Don’t Make Excuses! Take Responsibility!

It's been a LONG time.. but, I'm back..... Don’t Make Excuses! Take Responsibility! My son is always on a mission in school to attain the behavior grade daily. Each day they are graded on their behavior using a color coded system. Pink is the highest, Purple 2 nd highest and the list goes on until Red.  The Joy of the 1 st Grade! This week he came home from school and he was not his normal cheerful self. I asked him what was wrong? I wanted to get on Pink! I said, what color did you get? “Green!” he pouted. I told him green was good.  But he proceeded with I wanted Pink! So I asked what happened in school today that you attained green instead of pink? He started to share a few things about the color where he started, then he was lowered to yellow, for not listening, then he clipped back up to green again. Then he started to talk about Timmy and Jimmy, and Joey (not the real names) and how Timmy didn’t want him to get on Pink so he said this and that, and it

60 MPH Windproof Umbrellas Various Colors "Guaranteed Lifetime Replacement Program" Auto Close Auto Open Compact Travel Umbrella Doesn't Break If Flipped Inside Out, Customer Service Supported Product: REVIEW

Well, it hasn’t rained much since I purchased this umbrella, however I wanted to review it. This review is subject to change based on the lack of use to date. I have enjoying it and the fact that it looks small, but it is a full umbrella. My first thought was that this was a typical umbrella, but I was WRONG. It is quite strong for the windy city and I love that it has the buttons to open and close so there is no work for me, it is all automatic. Pros -Size -Automatic -Sturdy Cons -It says it works for 2 people, I haven’t tried it, but it still seems a bit small for two people  Its an umbrella so that’s it for this review. It’s a good sturdy umbrella that will fit in small places like a purse. I plan to take it on a trip with me soon. I received this umbrella at a discount for an honest review.

Review: 100% Natural Arabica Coffee Scrub 12 oz. with Organic Coffee, Coconut and Shea Butter - Best Acne, Anti Cellulite and Stretch Mark.

This product came in plastic wrap. As I began to unwrap it I could start to smell the coffee. This was a GOOD sign for me as I know that the coffee is the main ingredient! I have used it in the shower and overall it is a good product. It is a little rough sometimes to apply even though on some areas of the skin it is smooth. I prefer fine crystals so these may not be fine. In addition, I prefer a bit more oil in my scrubs. However, this is my first time using a coffee scrub so that may be a different consistency by nature. I would say that just as the company suggests after using the scrub you simply pat down your body and no lotion is required. I have extremely dry skin by nature. So extreme that I have eczema. As such I am always seeking to keep my skin moisturized. I did NOT have to apply any lotions after to using this product and my skin feels soft! I am happy to report that. I will however have to keep using it in order to see any results relating to cellulite. I will
The Power of Vitamin C!!! I am excited to review this product. I saw information about Vitamin C serums on Dr. Oz and I was intrigued. Vitamin C is used to assist with wrinkles and the overall appearance of the skin. I do not have wrinkles yet so I wanted to be proactive and take care of my skin. There are some areas that I would like to see addressed in terms of the pores and a few dark spots as well. I have used another brand and used 2 of their bottles so I wanted to compare it to another brand. I am glad that I tried this brand. To begin with it really is a serum. It is much thicker than the other brand which was more like water to me than a serum. I was excited for this. Next, I feel as though my skin is softer. When I touch my face it really does feel soft and plump. I really did not get that feel before.  In addition, my skin seems to be brighter as well. I want to continue using this to see if I see other changes and/or that the changes are maintained over the next few

Matthew 18:20

I was getting ready to grade papers and this journal entry was copied with my rubrics so I thought I would share it: Matthew 18:20 Lord, allow you leaders to come together in YOUR name. Let us put aside our personal agendas and issues to come together in your name so that we appreciate and recognize that you will be in the center to guide us and our decisions. Coming together in your will and way will allow us to view and understand your purpose for our lives. Let us be a guide for others so that your people will see that when we come together in your name we will accomplish more for you. Amen
